Although from Scotland originally I’ve lived and worked in the South West for the last 32 years where the countryside has been a continual source of inspiration for my painting. Almost all my spare time is spent walking and cycling observing nature. My paintings are my interpretation of the wonderful scenery of Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Cornish coast, their changing seasons and weather, though I notice that they also often include references to my childhood in the remote Highlands of Scotland.
