VintageWelcome to my page and my work.
Playful and theatrical collages are inspired by love of narratives. Subjects include the Marie Antoinette, Agatha Christie, forgotten women throughout history, mermaids and vintage inspired card designs.
The collages develop from a passion of capturing a moment in time by combining photography with illustration, print and found objects. Scenes are brought back to life by photographing real-life models, digitally adding piece-by-piece costumes, props and
Recent work is an illustrated book that leads you on a mystical journey between sea and land. A Mermaid's Melody is a collaboration with author Rachel Swain, who is the model and mermaid character in the book. The book and illustrations can be purchased at www.bluewaveillustrations.co.uk, Nicky Stevenson Gallery, Brixham and Art Ceramics, Cockington.
Vintage inspired card designs have been recently created for local vintage fairs and are also available as pocket mirrors and prints.
Exhibitions include the Courtaulds Institute of Art, The Old Truman Brewery, Empire State Building and representation by the Cynthia Corbett Gallery at art fairs throughout London and USA. Exhibitions nearer to home include Torre Abbey, Cockington and Greenway National Trust.
The studio in Brixham, Devon is open all year by appointment. Contact mail@tracysatchwill.com to arrange a visit.
