Dartington Food Fair

Dartington Food Fair

The Shops at Dartington
10am to 5pm
Free Entry

Join us Sunday 24 and Monday 25 May for the fifth annual Dartington Food Fair. This two day event will showcase the best of local produce, as well as arts, crafts and activities for all the family. This foodie festival will take place at the Shops at Dartington, one mile from Totnes in the beautiful South Hams area of Devon. There is no need to book a ticket as the entry to the food fair for all visitors is FREE!

As an additional celebration for our 5th anniversary, we are also kicking off the festivities by hosting a brand new pop-up restaurant on the evening of Saturday 23rd (at which we aim for all of the food served to be supplied by the Landworks team and other local producers).

This year’s event is held in association with Food and Drink Devon, and will provide a spotlight on delicious Devon produce and those who work hard to get it to our tables, along with an additional emphasis on sustainability – a new theme introduced for 2015. There will be a dedicated Food Producers’ marquee providing space for up to 40 exhibitors. We are very keen to promote local suppliers and businesses, so all of the producers attending will be from the West Country. Catering for a wide range of tastes and interests, exhibitors confirmed so far are as follows:

The Wonky Kitchen (fudge)
Hunter’s Brewery (ales)
Bell and Loxton (rapeseed oil)
Born to Bake (gluten-free cakes)
Inkie’s Smokehouse (pulled pork)
Yum and Stuff (street food)
Vintage Tea Traveller (tea & coffee)
Honest Food (curry sauces and pesto)
South Devon Pizza Co. (pizza)
Seasonal Samosas (Indian street food)
Monarch Liqueurs (liqueurs)
Riverford Organics (vegetable boxes)
Thai Style Thai Food (Thai noodles)

We are also offering spaces to local artisan craftspeople, and will have an array of workshops and chef demonstrations taking place over the event to enable visitors to watch their local foodie heroes, pick up tips and hone their skills. As it’s our 5th anniversary year, we are putting a new twist on our annual cake competition – bake us a 5th birthday cake! Children can take part in a range of Alice in Wonderland themed activities (and see if they can spot any Mad Hatters amongst the members of staff in the shops!) or have a go on the bouncy castle. Adults can relax to traditional New Orleans jazz played by John Shilito’s Select Four.
