Market Hardware: Morecambe Bay Micro Museum
New exhibition in Market Hardware in Queensgate Market from BA2 Architecture students. The exhibition is a selection of models based on a brief to design a tower in Morecambe Bay that will act as safe refuge to those caught in the bay in the face of rising water. It will act as a memorial to those drowned in the bay and will act as a Micro-Museum, exhibiting an aspect of the bay.
The exhibition includes models as part of the project and chosen by students who thought they expressed a high level of craftsmanship and an innovative design.
The exhibition is on show from 5 - 16 March 2019.
Market Hardware is used to exhibit the work of students from the University of Huddersfield's School of Art, Design and Architecture and is part of the Temporary Contemporary Initiative - placing contemporary art in vacant spaces within Queensgate Market.
