St Albans Organ Festival St Albans International Organ Festival
St Albans International Organ Festival was established in 1963 by Peter Hurford, then Master of Music at St Albans Cathedral. It takes place in alternate years, but smaller festivals and recitals take place between the major festivals.
The festival comprises a world renowned organ competition for young organists and a wide ranging festival of classical music, jazz, talks, demonstrations and an art exhibition. Concerts take place in a variety of locations across St Albans, including the Cathedral.
The next festival runs from 8th to 18th July 2015.
