Female Dance Performers

Want to be part of a game-changing arts event in Torquay this autumn?

Arts producers Situations are seeking two performers to work with artist Marc Rees on a performance work as part of The Tale, an ambitious arts event in Torbay this September. Over the coming year, a group of internationally renowned artists will grow new artworks in response to Torbay's untold stories, culminating in three weekends of discovery in September 2017.

The producers, Situations, have developed an inspiring reputation for transformative art experiences across the world, inspired by people and places.

We’re looking for two female dance practitioners who have a minimum of two years professional dance experience in a variety of styles and movements.

This professional development opportunity is particularly relevant to emerging practitioners who have an interest in:
- Developing their practice within urban and rural community settings.
- Outdoor working practice with interaction as an element of the performance.
- Working with closely with a multi-disciplinary artist on character development.

An honorarium of £920 is offered to each performer, which includes all travel and expenses.

Applicants must be available for the following dates in 2017:
Friday February 17th: afternoon audition
Thursday 1st – Saturday June 3rd: Rehearsals and a scratch performance
Afternoons in September: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th
