Marta Killey Marta Killey: Art with Latin American influences
I am a Chilean-born artist based in Torquay. I work in 2D, relief and 3D creating items stimulated by the local natural and built environments.
I have a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Surrey Institute of Art and Design.
I am a qualified teacher and teach adult education classes in drawing and painting at South Devon College.
My current work uses my own handmade paper in order to create 2D and sculptural items. Some of these incorporate found natural objects and pressed flowers. Other pieces use bark or leaves as moulds into which paper pulp is pressed to create a "copy" of the original item.
My creative papermaking workshops have been very popular. I can tailor the workshop for existing groups or regularly hold workshops in Teingmouth. If you are interested please email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
