Manasamitra bring 'Shivoham' to Huddersfield Art Gallery
Following the successful performance of 'Shivoham' at York Minster in November 2014, Manasamitra bring their musical fusion piece to Huddersfield Art Gallery.
Inspired by Shiva, the Indian god called upon to restore balance in a world focused on self-destruction, the musicians take the audience on an emotive journey that reflects the ever present conflict between peace and disturbance.
Performing live through semi-structured improvisation to an originally composed soundtrack, the three musicians bring together a unique blend of Carnatic (south Indian) vocals from Supriya Nagarajan and saxophone from Ben Castle as well as a special guest performance from composer and musician Shri Sriram on bass and flute using loopers and effects.
Book or reserve tickets now for this unique musical experience.
