Introduction to Busking Workshop

A free workshop for young people aged 14-25.

10 AM - 4 PM
Palace Theatre Arena space & Paignton town centre

Experienced busker and performer Jon Croose will teach essential busking skills - recommended for young musicians who'd like to make the leap. This workshop will teach the basics for busking, including how to keep yourself safe, how to choose the right pitch, and what kind of material works best. You'll have a chance to gain confidence and work in a group of other young musicians, and also a chance to try it out in a supportive environment.

Participants should have their own instrument (vocal performers welcomed too) and enough basic skills to be ready to perform a couple of songs. Both covers and original material are welcomed.

This is all part of the lead-up to the incredible Folk in a Box event which will be in Union Square Shopping Centre on 11 October. Watch out for our own special Torbay music & box invasion on the 4th and 11th of October!
