Anna lives and works in Torquay, she graduated from her Masters Degree in Arts and Ecology with distinction and is now working with English Riviera Geopark. Anna won first prize at Exeter Contemporary Open 2007 and her locally filmed live animation ' The pond' made it to The Big Screen in Manchester's Exchange Square. (BBC/Cornerhouse). In 2009 she travelled to New Mexico and Colorado where she participated in The LandArts exhibition Dispersal/Return at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and continued her collaboration with artist/anthropologist Claire Long.

Anna shares the novel outcomes of her research with the general public through participatory events, exhibitions, installations and blogs. She also makes drawn-on books, animations and eco-montages. Her practice has expanded to fill both screen and airwaves and her increasingly performative pieces actively engage with the public. Since Oct 2007 she and her collaborator Claire Long (New Mexico) have been investigating ancient and contemporary ecologies in Devon and New Mexico. They have invited others to share their discoveries; to excavate a bog pantry, feast on acorn bread and to churn their own butter using the motion of their gait.

Their 'Approaching an Exchange" project has already inhabited a Bronze Age Dartmoor roundhouse at Avon Dam Settlement and a prehistoric pueblo in the Sandia Ranger District, Cibola National Forest, East of Albuquerque., New Mexico. Participants join a growing international community of Exchange on two continents.

Next Exchange walk/event - 28th March 2010 leaving Duchy Square Centre for Creativity ( Princetown, Dartmoor National Park).at 11 am. Booking essential - Call 01822 890828

In preparation for The Exchange all participants are asked to select an object, idea or element from their life, time or culture to share with the original inhabitants of the ancient village sites. They are also invited to think of a gift they would like to receive from their 'hosts'.

Anna is collaborating with English Riviera Geopark people and places to find out more about the ancient and contemporary ecologies of Torbay. She has some unusual data generating techniques in mind. Anna is making an" If you'd like to....." audio installation to be housed in the Seashore Centre. You can listen to a similar piece in the audio or by visiting Art, Ecology and the Economy Exhibition at CCANW and Duchy Square Centre for Creativity see My events.

'If you'd like to....' is an audio installation to be enjoyed by people of all ages. Its strong adaptive potentials allow it to survive diverse habitats and climates. Anna Keleher and Claire Long have playfully devised an invitation that allows empathetic leaps into parallel universes, glimpses into imagined worlds. Based on the familiar phone options format this fun, participatory piece is set to flex, stretch, and re-jig patterns of thought and culture into new and surprising constellations for the 21st Century.

If You'd Like To ..is a collaborative project with Claire Long.
