Caren Weil - Creative Person
25 years ago I left college with A levels in Design & History of Art and a BA Hons in Fine Art. I exhibited Junglescape at the Phoenix in Exeter, sold two paintings to friends and was commissioned to paint a horse portrait. As a divorced parent of two young children I became a Primary School Teacher and carried on doing a bit here and there. A few years ago my teaching assistant bought Junglescape and now I have finished full time teaching in order to pursue 'a more creative life'.
I paint, draw, sketch, illustrate, design, knit, stitch, sew and.... observe. I watch and look at everything. I wonder and marvel at everything. I love lush colour and exotic shapes. I record things in a way that means something to me but also becomes something exciting to look at and live with.
