Paignton Library, which opened mid September 2010, is a modern, community facility with some excellent features:
•A convenient town centre location with good public transport links
•Flexible accommodation with meeting spaces and ‘interview’ rooms
•for local community organisations
•Self Service issue terminals
•Out of ‘normal’ hours use

The Exhibition Space
We are looking for offer exhibition space for artists on a rolling 6 week programme. All are welcome to apply and there are no fixed ideas on work that will be accepted – we are hoping to attract a wide range of styles from artists at various stages in their careers. When considering work to submit, please do however bear in mind that this is a busy public space.
We are able to offer wall space and also a locked cabinet for small 3d works.. Please note, at this time we cannot take payment for sales on site but are happy for you to include or provide your contact details should people wish to make a sale. Please provide labels for your work and an artist biography suitable for display.

Insurance
This needs to be covered by the artists own insurance provision.
Publicity
Paignton Library & Torbay Council will always arrange for a press release to be sent at the start of every new exhibition. A draft will be sent to you prior to distribution by our press office. Copies are sent to all Councillors. We will also include the details on our website.
Additional details
The space is offered on a 6 week basis unless agreed otherwise. The exhibition must be installed by the artist – unfortunately it is not possible to provide staff from the Library.

Please submit your details along with 2 electronic images of your work to arts@torbay.gov.uk. There are no closing dates and responses will be given within 4 weeks of receipt.
